Thank you for your encouragement, sister. Share a personal note: I have read few versions for the Bible. What I am most familiar with are the popular ones: KJV, NIV(1984), NASV(1995), NLT, The Amplified, The Message, etc. Hope I don’t sound bragging. Recently friends began mentioning to me the Passion Translation (TPT), I am surprised to notice how expressive it can be. In real life, about a decade ago, I almost became a translator myself. I was offered a scholarship involved the Wycliffe Translation Society. A fun story to tell from that experience, I was asked the daughter of the pastor who married Jiang Jieshi and Song Qingling to write his biography. It did not work out, but it surely helped to broaden the horizon of my humble life. One time, I had the privilege to be blessed by the wonderful secretary of Watchman Née, who had been following the trails of Paul, ministering to the Chinese in the Mediterranean region. These lives and so many others truly fascinated me. The hardships and the miracles. Recently, I began to read the biography on George Washington by John Marshal. It is so amazing to witness how rich and adventurous life could be. Let the wind carriy us, like that feather being caught up. And God willing, like a fish becomes a dove. Even from a dove to become a mighty eagle, always excited by the storms. I like the story of Forrest Gump(?). Indeed life is like an intriguing chocolate box. Anything could happen..

Same here. I rarely type on my small phone screen. You are no doubt a Bible scholar. Indeed, the writing style of Passion Translation is amazingly marvelous. Thank you for your wonderful reading, bro. Wow, impressive stories. You've been living an interesting life! Thanks for sharing. I'm also a fan of biographies, but haven't read George Washington by John Marshal yet. Looking forward to your review. Then, as John baptized Jesus he spoke these words: “I see the Spirit of God appear like a dove descending from the heavenly realm and landing upon him—and it rested upon him from that moment forward![aq] 33 And even though I’ve yet to experience him, when I was commissioned to baptize with water God spoke these words to me, ‘One day you will see the Spirit descend and remain upon a man. He will be the One I have sent to baptize with the Holy Spirit.’[ar] 34 And now I have seen with discernment. I can tell you for sure that this man is the Son of God.”[as] www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%201&version=TPTThe Baptism of Christ by Andrea del Verrocchio and Leonardo da Vinci

The Wedding Feast at Cana BY Paolo Veronese 1563 www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%202&version=TPTNow there were six stone water pots standing nearby. They were meant to be used for the Jewish washing rituals. Each one held about 20 gallons or more. Jesus came to the servers and told them, “Fill the pots with water, right up to the very brim.” Then he said, “Now fill your pitchers and take them to the master of ceremonies.” And when they poured out their pitcher for the master of ceremonies to sample, the water became wine! When he tasted the water that became wine, the master of ceremonies was impressed. (Although he didn’t know where the wine had come from, but the servers knew.) He called the bridegroom over and said to him, “Every host serves his best wine first until everyone has had a cup or two, then he serves the wine of poor quality. But you, my friend, you’ve reserved the most exquisite wine until now!”

Nicodemus (left) talking to Jesus, by Henry Ossawa Tanner www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%203&version=TPTNow there was a prominent religious leader among the Jews named Nicodemus, who was part of the sect called the Pharisees and a member of the Jewish ruling council. 2 One night he discreetly came to Jesus and said, “Master, we know that you are a teacher from God, for no one performs the miracle signs that you do, unless God’s power is with him.”

The Raising of Lazarus, Rembrandt , Los Angeles County Museum of Art www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2011&version=Then with a loud voice Jesus shouted with authority: “Lazarus! Come out of the tomb!” Then in front of everyone, Lazarus, who had died four days earlier, slowly hobbled out—he still had grave clothes tightly wrapped around his hands and feet and covering his face! Jesus said to them, “Unwrap him and let him loose.”

May God "shower His favor upon your life". www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%2012&version=TPTMary picked up an alabaster jar filled with nearly a liter of extremely rare and costly perfume—the purest extract of nard, and she anointed Jesus’ feet. Then she wiped them dry with her long hair. And the fragrance of the costly oil filled the house.
