Finished reading it. Smart as it is, it is supercilious in the attitude and observation of life. It can’t even dare to touch its fundamentals: self, sinful nature, ideal or true freedom of life, suffering and happiness, etc. which is the basic mode of existentialism as a whole-a bunch high-minded intellectuals speculating on our fluid existence and the nothingness of life. Foolish indeed.
These guys need a divine touch. If only they know what they are talking about. Then they would shut their mouth and humbly seek the real truth. They have no idea that the way of their thinking and their seeking is fundamentally wrong!
我们有一个寓言十分形象地指出了此类愚蠢之辈的根本错误和解决方法:缘木求鱼,不如退而结网。A counterpart in English idioms would be “don’t put your ladder on the wrong wall”.
Why I have a such confidence? I was caught in realms I don’t know and were given visions and understandings for the whole history of creation when I desperately seeking truth and understanding. I had stood by Him and witnessed when He called into existence of galaxy or rather universe. When I first encountered God, I didn’t even know Him being the God mentioned in the Bible. He have shown me many things that would nullify such “foolish” wisdom or rather speculations of man.
Broken, humble, sincere are the only requirements of a heart who will be given the key to true wisdom. The Holy Spirit is a supernatural power and a living person. He doesn’t pay any attention to our follies and such philosophy is full of it. They literally don’t know what they are talking about.
Highly recommend us to read some Bible. 1 Cor. 1-2; Rom. 7-8.
If we think we are something and eventually is proved to be nothing. Whether in the minds of man (speculations and vain philosophies) or in the sight of God (who indeed holds everything in His hands and will judge everyone according to his thoughts and words), then aren’t we foolish to claim anything for ourselves and of use to anyone else? I would be very quiet if I came to such a revelation.
And that is when God started to talk to me. He is real, and even now on regular bases I communicate with people whom God is speaking to and using to educate us. It is absurd to then respect or give much credits to man’s wisdom when you enjoy such a context of life.

I will stop posting this on this series. Watch the rest on YouTube.
I have to say in Part 2, Derek really drew out the ways of man.

Thank you so much for sharing your perspective! :)
This seemingly bizarre story is fun to watch. The movie can also be interpreted using Erich Fromm's character structures, but I can't locate any related articles.

You are really into this movie. I do respect religious minds.

I have not finished listening to it before I posted it. It is the kind of communication I would deem as a unction of the spirit.
Reflecting on what she shared, I have to say thank you for putting up with what seems to be jabber and “nonsense”.
I was amazed however at the timing of her insight and the fact you two were talking about the movie.
Regardless, your gracious heart is appreciated and is amazed at.

When will the pandemic end?
